Project
Incorporates Two Efforts
PART I – A Written Report
PART II – Team Discussion / Presentation
Class members, including the instructor, provide constructive feedback regarding quality of case preparation and presentation analytic content and presentation skills.
NOTE: Presentation and Discussion of Master Case Should Not Exceed One (1) Hour.
The following must be included in the Written Report:
I. Strategic Management
A. Introduction to company – goals and objectives; organization structure, products/service, technology used, etc. so as to provide a context for project.
B. Decision Process for Selection of Project Criteria – payoff to company, i.e. efficiency, service, cost, etc.
C. A Project Charter (S.O.W.) – that includes:
Project Description of Mission
Objectives – Deliverables
Work to be performed
Assumptions
Budget – Resources
Scheduling
II. Planning Outputs – Project Blueprint
A. Including:
Project Organization Chart
Work Breakdown Structure (Graphical & Tabular)
Task – Responsibility Matrix
Project Schedule(s)
Milestone Line Gantt Chart
Pert / CPM Diagram
Project Budget
Earned Value if Appropriate
B. Project MIS – Monitor / Control
Including:
Project Communications Matrix for meetings & reporting
Monitoring of Team Effectiveness
C. Discussion – (Briefly)
Implementation / Roll-Out of Project Deliverables
Termination of Project
Project Success – Lessons Learned Assessment
